Noobish question about fast casting! - Guild Wars Forums

Hi!

I have a mesmer. It takes about 3 seconds to cast/activate "Backfire"
So if I skill on "Fast Casting", will this number decrease to 1 or what?

I need proffessional help, thanks in advance!

There's a chart on the website.. I forgot where the link is but no, putting even 12 points into fast casting won't reduce a spell cast time down to a 1/3rd. It's something more of concern when being able to chainspell.

Fast Casting improves the casting speed per rank.
Here is a table that quantifies it.

Ok my english isn't the best but let's say if I cast "Backfire" which requires 3 seconds to cast/activate and I have 14 points in fast casting, the cast/activate time will reduce right ?

Every bit of points you put into fast cast will reduce casting time but never to the point where it's going to reduce it by 2/3rds.
